Ulrich Schnauss is an electronica genius. I absolutely love his music, a must have for any music collection. His music paints pictures in your mind and totally enchants you. (Well, this is the effect he has on me!) Its hard to pick one tune by him, there are so many good amazing tunes… but heres one I really like. Hopefully it will urge you on to listen to more by him.

Also,

I’m really enjoying the musical talents of the Scottish brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin. The duo make up the musical inspirations which are Boards of Canada. I incorporate a lot of their music into sets… and is a must have for any ambient electronica fan’s music collection!

Here is one of my favourite tracks by them… Dayvan Cowboy. Beautiful music and an amazing video. Enjoy! ^_^

Summer is here… so what better way to celebrate with some uplifting chilled out DnB?

Another of my fave artists at the moment, although abit more down tempo from sub focus is Broken Social Scene. I got into them through my friend and artist Lu Hudson

Meet Jpod – aka the Beat Chef – Canada’s freshest talent. His music is defined by it’s warbling basslines, influenced by funk and reggae and hiphop and can be as diverse as huge party bangers. Usually stuffed full of familiar acapellas, he’s sure to get most parties rocking.

He’s also well know for his collaberations with Stickbuds under the name of StickyPod Connection, which is quickly becoming a more and more familiar name on the Canadian scene. Don’t miss their set from Shambhala 2009.
